TRASH DAY!
Today, my neighbor hauled 3 giant bags to the dumpster. This removal occurred over the course of nearly a month, resting in staging areas in the upstairs hallway, then at the base of the stairs.
I arrived just in time to see the final steps, 3 bags, followed by a light sprinkle of the hose. I caught these pictures with my crappy phone camera, hence the hazy glow (i.e. not resulting from an emanating cleanliness).

Let's all take a moment to pay tribute to something so easily overlooked due to its hulking presence, its longevity, its crossing over into "furniture" status:The BIGSCREEN television.
For the last several months, this furniture has served as a surface for the depositing of many other items: cleaners, varnish, meals, recyclables, mails, home improvement. By far, the best growth was the smaller television set which has been perched up top for nearly as long as the base itself.

this stick (see March 23) made it all the way from the hallway, down the stairs, and almost into this trash can.
